Laura Huff Hileman
Laura Huff Hileman is a certified Jungian-oriented dreamworker and spiritual director who has facilitated dream groups and taught dreamwork since 1999. She believes that dreamwork is lively, contemplative soulwork that invites the dreamer into deep relationship with the Divine by way of image, emotion, metaphor, and symbol. Responding to dreams through prayer and expressive arts are two ways she encourages dreamers to deepen their primary relationship with the Holy.
A former English instructor at Belmont University and Harpeth Hall School, Laura holds Masters’ degrees in both English and Psychology. She trained at the Haden Institute, completing 2-year programs in both Dream Spirituality and Spiritual Direction, and served as Mentor in the Dream Spirituality program for years.
As part of the relatively recent initiative to bring dreams into Christian spiritual practice, Laura meets with online dream groups and private clients, and teaches dreamwork. Her book, By the Light of Dreams: Advent Practices for Listening to God in the Night was published by Upper Room in 2026. A longtime Nashvillian, Laura now lives in Pine Lake Georgia, where she is a member of North Decatur Presbyterian Church (PCUSA).
